When I’m in Canada, I feel this is what the world should be like. – Jane Fonda
Oh.My.Canada. is a journey of unbridled patriotism and classic automotive adventure from Victoria, B.C. to St. John’s, Newfoundland.
It’s also the personal quest of one woman looking for her next career endeavour and a place to call home, somewhere between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, north of the 49th parallel.
But mostly, it’s a story – told in bite-sized chunks – about a coast-to-coast road trip that you can follow during a coffee break at work, to find out what it’s really like to drive through 10 provinces and put about 8,000 km on your odometer. This blog will serve to offer you the best (and the worst) of the experience, with unflinching honesty about the realities of cost (gas, food, accommodation), time (what’s a reasonable amount of time to set aside for this type of trip?) and activities (what’s there to do in each province when you’re not behind the wheel eating Twizzlers and listening to local radio stations?).
Want to see Canada like you’ve never seen it before (through a bug-splattered windshield)? Then keep reading, and enjoy the ride.
